Piano lessons

I have over 25 years experience teaching piano and have taught privately and in schools, including teaching one on one lessons at the BRIT School for 21 years.

My teaching method for piano is very flexible. For some students I teach wholly, or almost wholly in a traditional way through music notation, working towards graded exams, but I am also very happy working with students in a more free flowing way combining learning music by ear and using chord symbols etc. Each student is different , so the combination of methods I use also varies student to student.

If students would like to work towards exams, I prepare them for the ABRSM or Trinity-Guildhall grades or if they prefer for popular music exams such as the LCM or Rock School Grades. I also prepare students for auditions and enter students in local music festivals such as the Watford Music Festival.

Although Covid stopped this for a while I am planning on restarting student concerts here again soon!
